Jun 26, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours clear orange golden with a creamy/crispy slight off white head. Malty sweet grapefruit aroma. Flavour is more dry than the aroma, giving a dry malt base with the fruitiness mildly adding in on top. Soft malty finish.

Jun 24, 2007 It has a wee white head and an amber body. The smell is one that is very fruity and smells almost like an IPA. The taste is bitter and light bodied mostly. There is a little sweetness and it leaves a roasty finish. Some hops, but not too many.

Jun 21, 2007 Carbonated golden amber pour. Started drinking this too cold. Leaves a brash grassy hop taste at first. When it warms the toasted malt shines. A rich English style ale.

Jun 21, 2007 Bottle and on draft. Amber / red pour withnice white head. Good bittering hops in the flavor profile, without being overpowering in the least. Very smooth drinking ESB. Good session beer.

Jun 19, 2007 Updated: Feb 9, 2009Bottled 02-28-07. Clear, orange-amber with a large head that lasts well. Aroma is rich marshmallow malt, with some faint citrus-herby hops. Taste is a well-balanced battle of grapefruit-grassy hops vs. rich and slightly nutty malt. Palate is medium-bodied, creamy, and a little dry and tingly. A better bitter.

Jun 17, 2007 Bottle. Poured a clear copper with a frothy off-white head, leaving some columns of lacing. Caramel to toffee malt aroma with some orangey biscuit notes. Nice malty flavors with a minerally character and some fruity esters. Nice and balanced as advertised. Medium to full bodied but very drinkable, with fine carbonation. I found this a nice example of a full flavored session ale. Given the other ratings I think I got the lucky bottle.

Jun 3, 2007 Draught at 69 Taps. Medium brown color with small tan head. Aroma was sweet and flavor had light malt and caramel. Some hops were evident.

Jun 3, 2007 Mondial de la bière 07. Ambrée-orangée, légèrement voilée, mousse mince. Arôme agrumé et caramel. Goût équilibré, malt caramel, amertume d’agrumes. Corps moyen à mince, effervescence faible. Correct.
