The smell was fairly faint to me and the head disapeered rather quickly. Also the taste was nice for as long as it lasted which wasn’t very long. Although the back of your mouth still gets some of a fainter taste to it. Has a minor bite with a bitter taste to it. I’d definetly drink this beer again. carboloader (321), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Pours transparent amber, medium sized head, much lacing. More malt than expected (But I drink mostly IPAs). It’s OK, not spectacular. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours a lighter amber with s good head and decent lacing. Nose is lightly hopped with some malts. Beer was flat with no flavor hills and valley, no journey for the taste buds. One level of slight bitterness throughout. Sort of non-descript in an unoffensive way. Nothing special, a very average brew. Thanks to ogglethorp for this bottle. zombywoof (362), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Aroma is pleasant: spruce, nuts and cereal. Could have used a little more hop bitterness in the finish. Drink, rate and probably never buy again. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Appearance and aroma best parts of this beer, not actually necessary to drink it. Rich gold body, firm head, good lacing. Nose of sweet malts and hops. Taste of toffee and caramel, sweet malts and British hops, balanced, with a good bitter finish. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 6, 2007 12 oz bottle pours a beautiful clear amber with active carbonation and a thin head of micro bubbles that lasts a while and leaves decent lacing. The nose contains a hint of honey and dough. The taste starts off with a hopped up twang and fades into a slight lemon and grass combo. There’s a slightly metallic aftertaste that is accompanied by a very dry and bitter palate that fits the style but not my preference. Slightly unbalanced but still a decent brew. jzzbassman (850), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2007 Very piney aroma, this one shines as it warms. Very nice session beer, with nothing standing out, but nothing to complain about....the epitome of balance. Where it falls apart is the bitterness could have been better on the end, to keep the finish cleaner.
