Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Jerc, GregClow, and Blankboy, courtesy of Blankboy. Aroma of an old campfire - lovely stuff. Nice dark brown, small white head - looks great. Taste is that of a really solid sweet Doppelbock with a perfect amount of rich and satisfying smoke added to it. Easily one of the best smoked beers I have ever add, mainly because of its integration into an otherwise already solid beer. Fantastic.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, jerc & tupalev - courtesy of blankboy. Dark amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of campfire smoke and sweet roasted malt. Soft body. Flavour is smoky but not overly so, with the smoke notes well integrated into a solid doppelbock - sweet caramel malt, some roasted coffee and cocoa notes, moderately dry finish. Very nice!

(Bottle) Amber colour with huge, frothy, but rather brief, beige head. Smokey, malty nose with sweetish notes of dried fruit. Malty, smokey taste with dried fruit and caramel, sweet alcohol notes giving way for a spicy bitterness in the slightly drier finish. Slowly burning peat embers remain throughout. Medium body, sweet malt throughout. Smoke is quite distinct without getting cloying, nice balance. Nice beer.

Amber colored with a thin off-white head. Aroma of smoked beer with a touch of sweetness. Taste is smooth and sweet, a bit salty and a lot malty. Pretty good combination here… interesting.

Left hand Brewery night at Three Cellars, Milwaukee. Easily the best smoked brew I have had. I got the hint of smoke upfront but it left as the flavors hit the tongue. Aside from the “smoked” was a darn good Doppelbock. The mix was very well balanced. Nothing over done.

Didn’t care for it. Cloudy brown in color, thin beige head. Fruity malt aroma with touches of smoke. Hints of woodsmoke in the flavor, burned pine. Maybe some overdone bacon. Ugh. I don’t know. Not good.

Hazy amber colour with a small beige head. Smokey, light fruity aroma with meat notes. Light fruity flavor with a wellbalanced smokey note.

My bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & tupalev -- courtesy of ucusty. Pours a hazy orange-brown with an average size foamy off-white head. Decent lacing. Aroma of smoke, of course, along with plenty of caramel malt, some floral hops and toffee. Flavour of toasted caramel malt, floral hops, toffee and just the right amount of smoke. Dry finish. Average to medium bodied. Great stuff, the smoke is very well balanced and is an example of how to do it right. Fantastic.
