A big malty beer with caramel & toffee flavors that has a clean & smooth finish.
Ingredients: Imported German barley & wheat malt, Northern Brewer & Vanguard Hops.
Recipe change in 2007. Increase in abv from 7.2 to 7.7%, and "smoked".

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is has notes of smoke, malt, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty and again dominated by notes of smoke and over ripe fruits. Thanks Joergen for sharing.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Slightly hazy dark amber golden with an off-white head. Distinct smoky aroma. Medium body with a heavy carbonation and some tired notes of roasted malt. Plenty of smokiness all through the bitter finish. 110308

75 cL bottle, thanks to joergen. Pours hazy and dark orange with a creamy/fizzy off-white head. Tar and dry smoked aroma. Dry malty flavour, goes into a mild smoked flavour. Ends with a smoked and light dried malty flavour.

Bottled, thanks ante! Cloudy dark amber, small off-white head. Intense beechwood smokey nose. Medium sweet and full bodied. Powerful caramelly malt with medium intesnity bacony smokiness. A well made beer that delivers exactly what i expect from it.

Bottle. 75cl. [Tasting @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen]. Alc. 7.2%. Unclear amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate to light heavy smoke ala special bamberg. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (110308)

Bottle. Hazy orange coloured with a huge off white head. Smokey aroma of bacon with notes of caramel. Sweet and smokey flavour of caramel, bacon and hops. Hoppy finish. The smoke is too dominating.

Hazy golden-brown colour. Rich smokey nose with sweet caramelly malts. Rich, lingering smokiness with caramelly almost toffeeish malts. Clean, fresh smoke and big malt background. Slight alcoholic dryness in the finish.
