| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, honey, sweet malt, and ginger. Taste is the same as aroma with a heavy accent on the spices. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Im not usually a fan of spiced beers but this one is pretty good. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Bomber. Clear red/copper color with a medium head. Aroma was spicy wassail like with honey, orange and caramel malt.
A very malty and warm brew, toffee and caramel, followed by the honey and spices. Chewy. You’ve gotta try this before you say that you don’t like any Winter Spiced ales. brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Shared with Mr. Facto, CaptainCougar, & 1FastSTi. 22 oz bottle. Poured clear with a port like color and a light head. The aroma was all clove and allspice. Strong. The flavor also was dominated by allspice. That spice was layered all though the malt body of this lightly sweet brew. Medium body that had a mineral quality to its slickness. Not my favorite but I think I’ve discovered I don’t like allspice in my beer. jefcon (1007), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2006 Very dark brown in color. Thin-looking, but actually relatively full on the palate. Honey sweetness and cinnamon/nutmeg/clove spice up front are true to the aromas of this beer. Maple sugar sweetness and caramel malts. Faint citrus in the background. erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 12, 2003 Pours a lghter amber than expected. Probably cause of the honey (Which causes hangovers when used as a fermentable by the way). Nice off-white head. Way too much ginger and not enough dark crystal or chocolate malt, and not enough nutmeg. More hops would help to balance all the off flavors that abound in this beer. Oxidation problems aswell as too much diacetyl taste in the palate. A very poor beer from an average brewery. kidmartinek (998), austin, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2008 A whiskey colored dark oak amber ale with a 2 inch tan head and a noticeable ginger aroma. Messing lacing. Flavor is barley malt and ginger snap. Aftertaste conjours up a strong reminiscence of Christmas. I am not a big fan of ginger, but this beer has plenty of it and it lingers in the finish. blklab2007 (974), Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2008 22 oz. bottle poured a deep dark brown color with a thick heavy light tan head that kept a nice thin layer. aroma has cinnamon, nutmeg, faint ginger, and lightly sweet honey. mouth feel is a little light and light with low carbonation. the malt in the flavor is mild and there is plenty of spices including cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and mild ginger that i would not have recognized had it not been in the description. I am not sure if the body or the honey is throwing me off but this is hard to get into. FoolishMortal (966), San Diego, California, USA
