Commercial Description:
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado's Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

Hazy golden, medium white head. Earthy potatoe aroma with strong piney and apricot hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Dry with a frim but never overwhelming bitterness. The best Left Hand brew for me this far.

Bottled. Pours out in a hazy pale amber colour with a low frothy white foam. Rather sugary aroma of mango and apricots with strong notes of piney hops. Full-bodied with notes of apricots, grass, resin and grapefruit. Bitter grapefruity and piney finish with strong sugary undertones of crystal malts and apricot

(bottle) slightly hazy pale gold with a little white head. Grassy hops aroma. Flavor was grassy hops - fairly one-dimensional.

(Bottle) Pours hazy orange with a small white head. The flavour is medium hoppy and medium malty with tones of orangey/grapefruity citrus, light sweet toast, white bread and cookies. The spicy rye, peppery alcohol and piney hops makes a good, aromatic blend. Some “clean” yeast is also present. Undertones of honey, lychee, apricot/peach, dry pineapples, wood and flowers. Pleasant and juicy hop oils in the nose and taste (not too high alpha). Maybe a blend of American and English 4-7 % alpha hops (Cascade, Goldings and/or Crystal?) with just a sting of more resiny and bitter high alpha hops (Columbus or Warrior) in the background. The flavour is medium hoppy and near medium malty with piney, floral, rye spicy, orangey citric, dry honey-ish, wood resiny, toast and light caramel tones. The mouthfeel is round, juicy and light sticky with a soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Lingering sweet malt, only the alcohol dries out the finish. Some alcohol warmth is also notable. Medium bodied. Clean. I like.

650 ml. Bright and clear orange-gold. Quarter-inch of lasting cream laces the glass well. Aromas of grapefruit, caramel and resin. Front tastes of grain and caramel are balanced by peppery resin and wood. Finishes with crisp rye, grapefruit and light alcohol. Near-medium body is dry, mostly smooth, and slightly warming.

650 ml Bottle from Systembolaget. A not very extreme DIPA. Tastes of hopps and grass. Some malts present as well.
