Commercial Description:
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado's Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

750 purchased at Sam’s, Durham. I hadn’t heard good things about this one and my initial impressions were negative. Nice amber body and frothy head, but an imbalanced flavor dominated by bad bitterness and overly aggressive malts. However, the character changed considerably as the beer warmed and there was much improvement - lovely citrus hops emerged to make this a solid brew.

From capped 750. Cloudy orange pour with fluffy off white head and nice lacing. Nose is yeast and citrus syrup. Flavor is big citrus, nicely balanced with the malt.

Pours a deep amber, tons o’ lace and a frothy white head. Bitter, malty, lots o’ floatin’ yeasties. A different sort of IIPA, not nearly as pronounced a hop character. Still, very enjoyable, complex, and satisfying.

Capped 750. Hazy gold with a few big yeast floaties swirling around my glass. Big eggshell head. Sweet citrus fruit and pine resin nose, mildly malty caramel. Big, thick lacing. Caramel and grapefruit flavors, some sugar cookie and pine. Chewy body leads out to a dry citrus finish. Good.

This one changes a lot as it warms. The hop character was really not in the flavor until it got about cellar tempature. It looks really nice, tastes good, but overall nothing great but enjoyable anyway

Orange colored, slightly cloudy appearance. Little yellow head. Aroma is strong with flowers and hops, toffee and some caramel also there with even some chocolate. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is also rich with chocolate, bitter flowerness from hops and caramel. When getting warmer strong bitterness and caramelly tones dominate, midl alcohol in aftertaste.

750ml bottle. $12.99. Nose of yeast with a mild sweet citrus feel. Some alcohol in the sweetish citrus caramel taste, finishes bittersweet.
