Commercial Description:
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado's Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

Very cloudy yellowish orange, decent head. Lots of grapefruity, citrusy notes at first. Flavor is citrusy, with a slick, malty background. Fairly typical DIPA, but that’s fine. I like typical DIPAs.

Sweet, syrupy, hoppy, dry aroma. Cloudy golden amber color. It looks good except for that therer’s no head. Dry, bitter piny, hop flavor with a backslide of Magnum hop flavor. Palate is a little harsh. So is the backend, and the finish is rough.

Hazy orange liquid capped by a large white head. Aroma and taste are somewhat simple and straightforward with citrus on top of lightly piney hops, and a lightly roasted set of malts. The one complexity comes from the rye, which combines with the punchy alcohol to make a warm and spice-infused finish. Despite the IBU joke, I didn’t find this to have a crushing amount of bitterness.

(Bottle, 0.65 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2009-07-10) Orange and cloudy. Small white head. Hops, fruitiness and lightly paint thinner in aroma. Medium bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Tangerine, hops, citricness, fruitiness, malts, yeast, lightly sweetness in quite balanced taste. Sweetness, hops and bitterness in aftertaste.

AT 2.99 FOR A 22OZ THIS IS A GREAT DEAL. POURS CLOUDY GOLDEN HONEY WITH A RICH WHITE HEAD SMELLS LIKE AN ABUNDANCE OF HOP SWEETNESS . TASTES LIKE GRAREFRUIT PEELS WITH THE BITTERNESS OF HOPS QUITE GOOD DEFINITE RECOMENDATION.

Has a very nice piney, earthly taste to it, but without a big bite. The aroma is somewhat marginal compaired to other big IPA, but this one makes up for it with it’s smooth taste. Definilty worth it.

Pours orange with some haze; on top is a sudsy off-white head that leaves little contellations of bubbles suspended throughout. Aroma of toffee, resin, and grapefruit. Brutal bitter hops in the first swallow but once your tongue adjusts is progessively gets sweeter and sweeter, but definitely not too sweet. The toffee malt is thick and supportive, thank you malt. Bitterness lingers for minutes afterwards.
