Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado's Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

$12.99 for this dogshit? And it gets an 80 rating to boot. Wow, I’m just not seeing it. Strict and harsh alcohol bite followed by an astrigent hop flavor. Seems like the whole purpose of this beer is to be big; flavor, taste and balance be damned.

Bottle: Copper color with a white head. Aroma, some carboard, muddied hops, and some spice. Flavor, caramel, some slight hoppiness to it. It just tastes like an old bottle.

2006 750ml bottle. Bright copper hue. Spotty off-white head. Soapy and floral fruity hop nose. Medium bodied. Lightly roasted caramel flavor. Nice dry burn. Needs to mellow? Lively and truly bitter. Soapy, piney, lemony citrus. But still initially deliciously sweet. Like cake. Then the dry bitter sticky flavors hit all parts of the palate. Great transition.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Lightly hazy ruby, creamy head. Rich hoppy aroma of sweaty lychee. Despite it’s full size it feels streamlined, yet fairly soft. Warming peppery alcohol is evident. The hops are evident, but not that overpowering so it remains balanced (as far as DIPAs go), shying away from stickyness and syrup. Powerful bitterness, but due to it’s body it’s actually less striking than in the 4.3% English cask bitter I just had.

Poured a slightly murky amber with orange hues with a huge, lacing, frothy white head. The aroma on this beer knocks you out. It’s thick, hoppy, floral, piney, citrus, everything you’d expect in an aroma from a beer. The flavor is more subtle than the aroma; grainy, peppery, spicy and a little mellow. Sticky but slightly watery on the palate, the bitterness of the hops stays on the tongue.

22 oz. bottle on 10/21/06. Pours clear amber developing a large yellowish white head with good lace. Spicy hops over some grain in the aroma. Smooth medium body and light carbonation combine for a pleasant mouthfeel. Caramel, toasted grain, and peppery hops lead into a bitter finish. Easy to drink and enjoyable.
