Commercial Description:
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado's Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

Location: 22 oz bottle from Westover Market, 6/23/09

Aroma: Hoppy nose, grapefruit and some other citrus fruit hops dominate the nose
Appearance: Cloudy orange color, fizzy white head, leaves lots of lacing on the glass
Flavor: Strong hop bitterness that is balanced just enough by the citrus sweetness, a nice flavor
Palate: A nice mouthfeel, and pretty decent amount of body, a nice drinking beer
Overall Impression: I like what they did here, it differs from your typical Citrus-hopped DIPA in that there is a good bit more citrus sweetness, but it doesn’t take away from nice bitter crunch that permeates through the beer. Well done!

Good sized frothy white head of varying sized bubbles. Bitter citrus aroma with grapefruit, orange peel and light grainy malts. Color is a slightly hazy golden orange. WOW, this is a HOT brew. Lots of alcohol presence and kick. Rather malty and very bitter. Puckers the mouth when drinking. Some sweet caramel and butterscotch in the flavor with resinous hops and citrus. I am surprised that more people have not mentioned the alcohol content. A bit overpowering. All in all a pretty good IIPA.

A bit of a disappointment for a Left Hand product There’s a difference between a hazy pour and a muddy pour. This IPA has all the parts, it’s just that they’re not assembled well

Twin sisters?!?!....more like twin hookers...but not the high class ones...the really questionable skanky ones that you hit when you’re in the need for some self-loathing/hating or when you feel the need to slum..wait, wasn’t this supposed to be about a beer? Aroma was more malt than hops, although there were some hops present (citrus). Flavor had notes of grass, pine and a mild malt backbone. Overall not the greatest DIPA.
