Commercial Description:
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado's Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

Bomber from Rollin’s Oats (St. Pete, FL)> Pours a hazy dark golden color with a thick and frothy white one finger head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of citrus, pine, fresh ripe fruit, apricots, grapefruit, some spice. Flavor is also sweet and floral with similar notes of citrus, pine, grapefruit, honey, floral hops, grass, some slight funk. Generally light to medium body with a floral hoppy finish.

Reviewed 3/13/2009 (Bottled 2008): Pours a semi-cloudy strong yellow color body, with a big foamy whitish head, okay lacing and somewhat lasting. Grapefruity malty bitter aroma, nutty and dusty too. Bitter taste, some grapefruit, but lots of nutty and dusty malts. English malt tasting. Could be more bitter. Somewhat alcoholy. Almost caustic, unbalanced. Too much after a while.

Very light for a "double" IPA. Aroma is much stronger than the taste....alcohol is completely hidden, which almost tricked me into drinking 4 more. Very nice.

Pours hazy medium golden with a smallish off-white head. Nose is strong with floral and citrus hops aroma. Initial bread-like malts segue into a moderate bitterness. Pretty well balanced. Very little alcohol flavor. Flat palate. Not too exciting.

Golden in color... Modest hops aroma... Flavor is hoppy initially, but tremendously smooth and balanced, definitely conceals the ABV.... Mild bitterness on the palate... Doesn’t taste especially sweet like most double IPAs to hide the ABV, just kind of mysteriously does it... Pretty solid beer....

Golden-orange color with some gentle citrus hops in the nose plus some fairly sweet malts. Flavor is basically like the aroma, just dummed down. Not bad, but with so little flavor why bother going DIPA?

Flight at Teresa’s Next Door Double IPA Day... Amber color with an off-white head. Not much to say here... Wet hop aroma. Very earthy. Palate was pretty dull. Would not order this again.
