Commercial Description:
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado's Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

This actually has a less aggressive nose and a lighter color than the Warrior IPA. The hops are bitter for sure but with a less pronounced finish than the Warrior as well. In all honesty, in a blind tasting I might call this one the regular and the Warrior the double!

Bottle@home Apperance: Golden-orange with a decent sized head that leaves some lacing on the glass. Aroma: Tropical fruit, Citric notes, Bread and Hops. Flavor: Caramel, Orange, Exotic fruits, Honey, Pine. Palate: Quite thick on the palate. Plenty of malt in this brew so it feels quite balanced at first but a certain bitterness kicks in at the end. Plenty of carbonation. A very balanced dipa and even though i’d wished for some more hops this was damn good. Wouldn’t recommend it to all hopheads out there tho.

Bottle courtesy of BeerAndBlues2 err.......Santa. :) Pours a hazy orange with a delicious fluffy white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, pine. Flavor is caramel, malt, pineapple, a bitter hop finish. Fairly sweet but still a pretty good IIPA.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a small but dense head. Aromas are of caramel, caramel and cookie dough. Flavor is pleasant at the beginning of the bottle, but becomes a little cloying after 22 oz. Caramel and sweet malt dominate, with a bit of pineapple and pine hops rounding things out. Still, the hops are not quite dominant enough and this beer needs (IMO) to be a little crisper. Mouthfeel is rather chewy.

Sampled at the Second Cellar Reduction. Clear orange amber pour with good white head that dissipates. Nose is a near perfect marriage of honey and hops. Piney hop bitterness pervades the flavor, honey, young complexity of hops. Extremely bitter citrus pine finish. Possibly the highlight of the night.
