The views from atop the 11,428' peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU's (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

20081231 Bomber, 2008, from RB Spirits. Hazed, pale golden with sticky, creamy, beige head that last to the last. Aroma leads with a dose of ethanol enrobed in strong orange and grapefruit citrus, pineapple upside down cake. Body is well thick with stickiness at finish, medium eff. Flavor could stand some more supporting malt. It is mostly dry with mild astringency, nice resinous and pithy hops to close. Needed something strong to get the evening moving and this one fit the bill. Better than I expected, though not a top tier IIPA.

Bottle. Aroma of citrus hops, in the area of bitter orange juice, a doughy, crackery malt base. Flavor has these citrus/orange hops with some resin on a very well-developed malt base. I think this beer is so poorly rated in style because the bottle conditioning creates a doughier malt than many like in a crisp IPA, but I think the bottle conditioning works really well to create a great interplay between resinous, bitter hops, and a lovely sweet, cracker malt. Very nice.

Gold color with a medium head. Strong orange hop aroma. Orange, grapefruit and citrusy hop flavors. A lot of caramel malt. Very well balanced; not insanely bitter at all.

2008 Bottle - Pours murky golden with a stiff white head...aroma is full of citrus and resin...flavour is nice and strong...never gets too complex, pine and booze when you crack it, pine and malt and booze when it warms...decent double...

22oz bottle pours medium golden color with a slight haze and a fluffy off white head. Citrus and pine aromas with a nicely balanced hop bitterness to a slightly sweet body. Very easy to drink. The aromas really opened up once it got warmer. Almost a floral aroma. Pleasant surprise, especially a find in Williamsburg.

Bomber pours clear gold with one inch off white head. The aroma, initially bold, brings up solid notes of citrus, spicy and earthy hops. Further investigation reveals a rye to rosemary twang along with a malty sweet backbone. The taste is similar with bold spice hops then citrus hops followed by hop earthiness. Midway sweet malts join up with citrus hop bitterness and rye tanginess to create a pleasing sensation. Notes of citrus, pine and resiny hop bitterness as well as a bit of rye hold on deep into the after taste. Very tasty brew with lots going on.

2008 bottle, Nice hazy orange body with a thin creamy white head, grapefruity light citrus pine hope. Taste is a bit of thin maltiness and a finish of nice spiciness in the hop finish of citrus perfume.
