Underated. Excellent in all respects. Nice head and lace. Pleasent from first whiff to after taste. None of the harsh acidity of many Impy IPA’s. Perhaps a touch sweet but in no way cloying.

Cloudy orange with a big, thick, creamy head and lots of floating yeast. Heavy hops and citrus aroma. Flavor is hops and citrus, caramel and pine. Thick heavy mouthfeel. rich and heavy on the palate.

Bottled:
Pours hazy orange with a small but creamy head. Aroma is resinous hops, dried fruits, lychees and pineapples. Flavour is loads of resinous hops, dries fruits and maybe some liquorice. Long bitterness. Damn good beer!

Had this after work with Kaylee while watching the Zombie Halloween disc she burned me. Nose of perfume and flowers, spice, citrus and resin. The brew initially pours copper. The nice cascade resolves into a tall uber stiff fully lasting white creamy head with good lace. The yeast pour is of course cloudy and amber. The brew has a malty and deep front with light acidity and some alcohol warmth in the middle. The nice lingering finish is spicy and bitter. The medium body is soft and creamy the finish feels dry.

Holy cow, this was awesome! talk about an invigorating beer! The initial aroma, has everything to offer about the beer. Truly an aroma and a flavor that pefectly match. Lots of depth, a strong hop nose, resiny and full of pine and spruce needles. The flavor has beautiful fruitiness, lots of grapefruit and herbal eucalyptus notes. Almost like drinking pure hop juice, this sits on your palate and lingers and really makes you think about what you are drinking.

This actually has a less aggressive nose and a lighter color than the Warrior IPA. The hops are bitter for sure but with a less pronounced finish than the Warrior as well. In all honesty, in a blind tasting I might call this one the regular and the Warrior the double!

750 ml. bottle. Good citrus aroma most notiable o me was peach. Murky orange body with good head and decent lacing. Sediment was also in the bottom of glass. Full bodied beer with a real good citrus hop flavor with a sticky feel to it. Left a good citrus aftertaste on palate. Good stuff.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Westover Market, 6/23/09

Aroma: Hoppy nose, grapefruit and some other citrus fruit hops dominate the nose
Appearance: Cloudy orange color, fizzy white head, leaves lots of lacing on the glass
Flavor: Strong hop bitterness that is balanced just enough by the citrus sweetness, a nice flavor
Palate: A nice mouthfeel, and pretty decent amount of body, a nice drinking beer
Overall Impression: I like what they did here, it differs from your typical Citrus-hopped DIPA in that there is a good bit more citrus sweetness, but it doesn’t take away from nice bitter crunch that permeates through the beer. Well done!
