Commercial Description:
Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

Pours a clear, brazen-amber color with a frothy, beige colored head. The foam settles slowly to a patchy film with a bubbly edge, leaving random, sticky micro-spots of lace on the glass. Aromas are classic fresh-hop, bright grassy and grapefruit bitterness showing atop notes of lightly sweet caramel, toasty biscuit, and fresh, dry, cereal grains. Flavors continue the theme, exuding freshness and sharp, hoppy bitterness. Green grass and grapefruit really bite into the tongue and stick to the roof of the mouth, while there’s just enough sweetness from the glazed biscuit to keep things in good balance. Medium bodied and crisp on the palate, the finish is on the dry side, each sip begging for the next. There’s nothing fancy going on here, just a very well executed fresh-hop IPA that is tasty and easy going.

Bomber. Pours a sort of brownish orange, although I’m committing high treason and pouring into plastic, so my color gauge may be a little off. Head is medium-sized and aromas are demonstrate some aggressive hops: pine and grapefruit with an almost pitch-like resin presence. (Smells pretty serious, but aromas are still kind of weak). Flavor is much more interesting... it’s a stronger version of the hops flavors mentioned above and a bit of a malt flavor that seemed a little darker than I seen in most IPA’s.

Good IPA, a little on the bitter side as far as the hop profile goes. I like a little more hop flavor than hop bitterness. It had a nice orange color, with some depth and good clarity. There was a biscuit like malt flavor that added a decent sense of balance.

22oz bomber. Pours a copper orange with soft lacing. 1/2 inch head with an aggressive pour. Aromas of grassy, piney, citrusy, and grapefruit. Aromas the same pine resin, grass, citrus (grapefruit). Nicest fresh hop of the season...so far.

Bottle shared by swolf! Thanks wolf! Nice orange color, average head. The aroma was citrus hops. Taste was a well balanced IPA. Light in texture was held a sweet bitterness to it. Clean finish. Overall a good IPA.

Very nicely balanced IPA with a refined character (as opposed to the more extreme versions of this particular style). Focus is on the malt; although the hops are certainly felt. Grapefruit and citrus tones prevelant on the tongue and some slight woodsy aspects as well. A fine brew.

Ponderosa, Spruce, or Douglas Fir; you name the evergreen, it’s in there!!! Nice grapefruit quality as well. Golden pour with a nice meringue head and resinous aroma. Tasty but not exceptional.

Pours a thick sudsy white head with streaks that run down the sides of the glass. The color is a cloudy amber color with an orange tint. The aroma smells alot like a spruce tree and has some citrus hops which are nice and floral. This is a perfect beer on a cold night like tonight. the flaovr has a lot of pine with a hoppy and bitter finish. There is somewhat of a bite on the tounge and it lasts on the palate for a while. It leaves a sticky bittersweet finish that is fullbodied and well balanced with the right amount of carbonation. and flavor.
