Sep 9, 2008 Pours copper with a tall lasting head that slowly reduces to a thick clump of cream. Aromas of dusty hops and malted caramel. Full nectar with creamy carbonation. A fat caramel malted backbone absorbs the high hop reverberation providing the appropriate balancing act. The finish linger long and mildly sweet. This brew is a rich and warming.

Sep 7, 2008 65cl bottle from de Bierkoning. Clear orange/amber colour, yellow/white head. Aroma of caramel, hops, metal and citrus. Flavour is caramel, malts, hops, heavy bitterness. Long lingering sharp bitter finish.

Aug 31, 2008 Bomber. Poured translucent medium orange with a short, well-retained whitish head and sticky lacing. The aroma picked up slightly-oxidzed grapefruit meat over floral notes and a toffee-inspired sweet base.. maybe a hair past its prime, but well-composed. The flavor found pale malts and toffee supporting floral, pine, and juicy grapefruit bitterness.. finished with stronger fruity and boozy warmth. Medium-bodied on the palate with scratchy bitterness throughout.. thicker feel on the finish.. quite solid overall.

Aug 12, 2008 Bottle, 6.6%. Quite malty aroma, some caramelly hops. Hazy dark amber colour. Quite caramelly hop flavour, teaish. Some alcohol. The hops are quite rough on my throat but still nice.

Aug 9, 2008 Poured from a 22-oz bottle a copper color with a nice foamy head. Lacing was really strong on this beer. Aroma of citrus and piney hops. Nice hop taste, as expected, but thought it also had a nice biscuit malt taste in the back that really balanced the beer.

Aug 8, 2008 22 oz, bottle from Greenwood Gourmet Grocery near Crozet, VA. Label states 6.6% abv. Reddish brown pour with a 2-finger head. Decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is brown-sugary malts with citrus and leafy hops. Taste is toffee, raisings and a very wet hop taste. This is nice.
