Commercial Description:
Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

Bottle. Moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, heavy aromas of pine and grapefruit for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with light notes of brown sugar and dried fruit. Head was rocky, white with excellent lacing and was fully lasting. Color was hazy amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, between watery and oily and has a soft to lively carbonation. It finishes lightly astringent. I loved the smell of this beer after it warmed. It reminded me of the fresh hopped IPAs from California.

Hazed brown/orange pour with a sticky off white head and lace. Medium hops on the nose riding on sweet maltiness. Citrus hops and the same sweet malt on the flavor. Medium/full bodied beer with pleasantly light carbonation. Solid ipa that is very clean.

Bottle shared by Beer Hawk. Pours hazy medium dark amber with an off white head. Nice leafy wet hop aroma. Pale toffee and caramel malt backbone standing behind a unique herbally hoppiness and subtle honey notes. Lingering semi grassy bitterness on the finish. Interesting single hop beer.

Bomber. Nicely done, pours thick copper/orange, appears hazy, unfiltered, nice head and wonderful hoppy aroma. VEry well balanced, sweet yet with enough hop bite to make even this hophead smile. Good session brew.

Bottle, 65cl - Orange colored hazy beer with a heavy off white head. Aroma is rather sweet with hints of citrus fruits and flowery cascade. Flavor is also rather sweet and malty with a good balanced hoppiness to it. A very fresh IPA, highly drinkable. Good for IPA beginners!

Pretty good though not spectacular. Drank it during the same session as The Maharaja so it may have just been comparatively disappointing.

Bomber. Pours a copper color with a thick off-white head. Very nice sticky lacing. Aroma is malty with a citrus hop scent. Caramel malts are strong in the flavor with some cereal along with citrus hops, with mild to moderate bitterness. Pretty good beer but something was a little off preventing it from being any better. The hops don’t finish off strong, the malts are a little heavy (for an IPA) for my liking and there’s a mild cereal/grainy thing going on that I wasn’t too fond of. Overall not amazing but a good session IPA. I do think I paid too much for it though.

courtesy of Per Forsgren - hazy amber colour with a little beige foam and a nice lace; very hoppy aroma, flowery, apricot; good and regular malt body, sweet and very bitter, long bitter flowery and fruity finish - refreshing, balanced and bitter: a solid and very drinkable one
