| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 18, 2008 (bottle) Pours out light copper with a decen sized white head. Pretty nice citrusy aroma, with pineapple, and what I can only describe as being ambrosia salad. Really strong flavor of sweet caramel and a decent hop finish to round things out. Medium mouthfeel, not too bad. mnapier (10), Washington, USA

Appearance, is as expected for an IPA, amber and with a nice clarity. It pours a medium to strong off white foamy head with a lingering cobweb of lace along the glass as I consume it. Aroma, can best be described as a mix of pine, spice, and a nice finish of grapefruit along with a mild honey malt aroma.
Sipping, I detect pine, some malt sweetness, and again the citrus (grapefruit) that I expect from an member of the hop bitter, biscuit also makes an appearance here.
Overall mouthfeel is medium, but under these conditions I don’t detect cloying at all. A nice IPA indeed. Gonna get me a nice BLT with this.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 14, 2008 Bomber shared with Degarth courtesy of Degarth. Thanks again. Pours clear deep copper with gold edges, off white head and mild spotty lacing. The aroma is inviting with malt and caramel sweetness mixed with pine hops. Mmmm nice even malty goodness to start the flavor off with roasty malts, sweet malts, kettle caramelization and then the pine hop bitterness hits. First the pine bitterness is just there fighting with the steadfast malts. By midway the pine bitterness makes a surge and by the finish it becomes the dominant flavor being joined by a dash of green/wet hops. Bitter hops ride right into the after taste. Very nice. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
