Commercial Description:
Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

Draught: Sweet hop aroma. Smells of floral hops, grapefruit, and some herbs. Poured amber in color with a big, rocky, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Lightly sparkling. Lightly hazy. Medium bitter flavor. Tastes of floral hops, resin, berries, caramel malts, and a little citrus. Medium body. Lightly sticky texture. Average carbonation. Bitter resin hop finish.

22oz brown bomber served in a shaker pint. Poured a dark gold with two fingers of medium bubbled white head. Good citrusy hop aroma. Bright hop bitterness but not overwhelming. Good amount of caramelly malt to back it up. Long dry hop finish. A nicely balanced IPA. Very drinkable. Great idea to feature the flavor of a single hop.

The Dan Journal #142. Tasted 12/11/07. 22oz bomber. Filtered with a honey amber hue. Spiraling white head. Citrus aromas. Big bright crisp fresh hop aroma and flavor. Piney citrus and woody hops. Mild effervescence. Tight hop profile. Mild burnt malt flavor with a touch maple. Tasty.

Pours a standard IPA warm orangy brown gold with a heterogeneous white head. The nose is bitter with hops. Relatively strong but uninteresting malt backbone with too much toast in it. Grapefruit, pepper and pine lace the hops. Solid in the mouth, full and a bit creamy, surprising for an IPA, but I’ll take it. The flavors are around where the nose is. Past prime perhaps? The hops have taken a garlicy turn. Grapefruit. Some seems to come in with the toasty, but still sweet, malt. Alcohol seems a bit hotter than the 6.8 ABV would suggest. A lingering toasty bitterness, thoroughly laced with hops. Eh, this is okay.

Bomber. Clear amber with a fluffy white head. Awesome lace sheet! Sweet malty nose with a thick grapefruit on top, some floral notes. Bitter flavor, grapefruit zest and light caramel, a bit of nectarine. Good peppery grapefruit rind bite in the finish. Excellent drinkability - nice!

This beer pours a deep amber with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy piney and very strong at that. The flavors are the same. The hops really do overtake this beer but not in a bad way. I wish there had been more of a malt presence though. Cheers!

Bomber

Pours a clear orange with a nice head, heavy leafy fresh-hop aroma, modest caramel malt notes as well. Robust but not overly aggressive flavor, nice balance, again leafy fresh-hop flavors atop citrus, a slight vegetal tinge late, modest in the oils that are left behind the the close of the flavor profile. Nice mouthfeel, and somehow it packed more punch than its ABV; just one bomber of this stuff with dinner was enough for me to feel it.

Hazy orange beer with sticky head. Has an aroma of citrus, especially grapefruit. Some spiciness in the taste. Finishes bittersweet. Overall a decent IPA but not my favorite.
