| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2007 Pours a golden amber with a frothy, creamy, long-lasting, french vanilla head. Aroma of fresh floral hops, dried apricots, and pepper. Sits wet and medium-bodied and the tongue. Orange, spices, dried fruits, caramel malts, and of course, the hops, hit the palate with nice balance. The hop bitterness owns the back-end, and the oils keep the bitterness lingering on the tongue. Overall, this is a nice example of the "extreme" or "double" IPA that is becoming the IPA of choice for American brewers. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2007 12-4-07 bottle. Clear amber with the most fantastic head. Wonderful earthy fresh hop aroma that has a pepper like spice to it. Unique, with a great flavor, good body, and it leaves a smile on my face. Surprised and impressed by this one. drfabulous (1275), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2007 Aroma is slightly different than other hopped up IPAs. A bit of musk. Taste is fairly good. Nice hops. My first Left Hand and not bad. Not as amazing as most IPAs I dig, but this hits in at about the slightly above average level. Good thing. I have another bottle. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2007 Clear amber color with a lighter off-white head. Aroma is of very fresh, earthy, forest-like floral hops with some fruit sweetness. Flavor is a very earthy, mushed green peas, fresh hop taste with some pleasant sweetness. Mouthfeel is really nice and sits on the tongue. Warrior isn’t my favorite hop for fresh hop brews (as opposed to a more citrusy variety), but this one is nice and drinkable. I love fresh hop brews....... JoeMcPhee (5030), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2007 22 oz bomber. Deep amber beer with a thick creamy tan head. Sticky lacing. Great hoppy aroma, soft orange and a rich spicy/cologne/perfumey hoppiness. An almost leathery dankness. Flavour has loads of fresh rich hoppiness, but there is a nice sweet maltiness balancing it off. Mango and tropical fruit with a light piny resinousness on the back. Pithy and rich. Another very tasty fresh hop beer. dmac (1502), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2007 22 oz bomber purchased at Spirits Middletown. Pours a fantastic looking clear roangish/amber with lots of visible carbonation and a large pillowy white head that leaves tons of lacing. Piney hops dominate the aroma, very strong aroma for an IPA border line IIPA. Sticky resinous body that is fully and chewy. Flavor shows the caramel maltiness nicely but the hops do come alive in the bitter aftertaste. I’m drinking this watching Super Troopers which makes me want to watch Beerfest which would entail another two hours of drinking. hombrepalo (780), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2007 22oz. bottle, poured a crystal clear amber color almost glowing, some head, quickly fading. Aroma of flowers and hops. Soft taste at first, a kick of hops at the end, with a lasting bitterness. Wet Fresh Hops! I like the Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale better.
