Commercial Description:
Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

2007 harvest, I like the warrior hop alot, I use it in my homebrewed IPA’s quiet abit, not too fond of the aroma quiet boring but the flavor is where this beer shines, nice malt back bone to balance an approate amount of hops for an IPA, recomended to any hop head.

22oz bottle. 2007 vintage. different label then picture shows. pours clear copper with creamy white head. nose is really hoppy, piney, citrusy, grapefruit, and some green hop notes. wow this is nicely bitter with green hop notes and big piney and grapefruit notes. good malt base behind it. alcohol is well hidden. hopped up like a double. really hoppy and clean finish. maybe this recipe has changed because this is really under rated. man i think left hand is getting better, my last two beers of there’s is this and smokejumper, both getting 4s! 4.0.

12/9/07, bottle, i still enjoyed this but it didn’t seem as special. maybe it was being at a party and i wasn’t able to appreciate this in a quiet setting but this just seemed like a solid wet hopped ipa and not worthy of a 4...3.7.

Bottled. A light crusty amber with a hint of orange and an off white head. Aroma is citrus, hops, 50/50 mix of peel and the fruit. Orange peel, lemon fruit. Flavor starts off with a slightly sweet orange, changes to a grassy hop and ends with a tinge of lemon. Very strong body with a good grass-lemon bitter hop finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber body with nice head. Aroma is grapefruit, caramel, earthy tones. Flavor is sweet, citrus, caramel, lite perfume, slightly dry. A very nice IPA.

Pours a reddish color with a lacy head. It does smell like a fresh bin of hops. This tastes like I just bit into a fresh hop, unlike other fresh hop beers. The finish isn’t as lingering as I was expecting

Like the name says: “fresh hop” aroma...very pleasant, not overboard. Orange to light brown with good lacing. Somewhat over-hopped flavor, but not like some IPAs can be...a hint of sweetness. Good mouthfeel.

22 oz. Pours clear amber in color with a small but long lasting white head. Aroma is great, heavy resinous/fresh citrus with some pine. Taste is not as potent as the aroma, with a good deal of malty sweetness/caramel and hop character a bit more subdued. Still a moderate amount of leafy/herbal hop character. Full bodied for the abv and style- a nice beer, but I was hoping for more of a bright hop character than I got in this.

On draft at Cambridge Common. Good beer but not much different from other American IPA’s brewed by wonderful American craft brewers. Stood up well to spicy buffalo wings that I was eating, but is just like many others out there. Strong hop smack on the aroma and overpowering hop flavor that is not at all balanced in the overall drinking experience. I love the guys at Left Hand - I just usually find that there is little within this style to distinguish oneself. Thanks to the good folks at Cambridge Common for getting this one on draft.
