Commercial Description:
Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

Amber body with a thin off white head. Heavy hop aroma ( I love warrior hops), caramel, honey, with a light spiciness. Taste is a dusty hoppiness with an orange zest and grapefruit with some grape accents.

Color me one moody sombeach, and I happened to be in the mood for this. Rather simple and one sided, but I just dug the type of bitterness - at least tonight I did and feel I would enjoy again. Went well with a rainy night and 1955 Bergman classic.

Pours dark copper with a nice off-white head. The aroma is not all that great, but sports some floral hop scents. The palate is medium to thin and reveals a one-dimensional flavor of hop bitterness. It finishes dry--and uninspiring.

22oz bottle. nose: dough, toast, herb, and pine aromas. head is about average, also oily; pours hazy burnt orange-amber. taste yields floral character, a little grapefruit, herbal spice, a healthy dose of grass and earth as well. the finish is earthy and like pine sap. The taste of pine does linger longer than normal. this has indeed won the complexity award, balancing an appropriate amount of hops for an IPA. This wet hopping process does add a nice dynamic to the beer. I’m surprised of the style rating, as i would think it would rival higher contenders, such as bridgeport, or other great ipas.

On draught at Barley’s Smokehouse. Slightly hazy copper/orange color with a medium off-white head. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Floral hops aroma along with a fair amount of citrus. Medium-bodied with a good hoppy character. Floral hops and malt are represented, as is a sweet fruitiness. Not overly bitter, and somewhat flavorful. The finish is crisp and moderately bitter hops that lingers pretty well. All around solid IPA.

Pourd with an orange type color, plenty of body, some cloudiness. Decent initial head and lacing, on par for the style. The aroma was light caramel with strong floral and resinous/piney aspects. Flavor was first floral and pine hops, maybe some caramel in there, the malt base was prominent, the flavor not easy to pull out, maybe some melons and a touch of diacetyl. Wanted more citrus hopping. Strong / heavy malty mouthfeel, as hoppy as this was, well supported by the malts. A decent IPA, but not excellent.
