| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 31, 2009 22 ounce bottle with a cowskull label. Orange pour raises a one-finger, very stable head; the thick, smooth foam paints the glass with lace. Resiny, rubbery nose, supported by milky, juniper berries, and stogie smoke. Tastes pretty much identical to the aroma- rubber, milk/chalky liquid antacid, ash- plus the peachy grapefruit flavor of Warrior hops. Muddy finish. Palate: thick. Although pleasantly bitter, the atertaste features an unappealing coppery tang. I could overlook a quirk or two, but this beer is so rife with nastiness that it’s like drinking a glass of squirming live bugs. This is the beer you’re forced to drink in hell. Pure torture. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2009 22 oz bomber. Aroma was unremarkable. Poured a lightly cloudy copper with a tiny white head. Flavor was mildly hoppy and very smooth, overall a very drinkable IPA. branspra (222), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Bottle. Pours a murky amber color with a large, frothy off-white head. Lacing is good. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, and a bit of malts. Smooth initial feel that quickly becomes lively, then smooth again down the throat. Flavors of hops and more hops, although it is a bit thin compared to the aromas. puggy211 (589), cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Clear Amber pour with a big, big, poofy offwhite head that held its shape for a long while. Smell was billowing out of the glass with spicy green fresh, peppery and candy sweet hops. Fantastic aroma. Taste was very "green", fresh, and spicy hops. Nicely bitter and very nicely hopped. A touch thin body, but otherwise a fantastic fresh hopped beer and one I’d definitely recommend
