a10555 (109), West Chester, Ohio, USA Dec 29, 2007 A nice beer. Poured a copper color and nice tan head. Good smooth start, with a hoppy finish. Settles nicely and the flavor gets really unique from most IPA’s.
MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Aug 12, 2008 Bottle, 6.6%. Quite malty aroma, some caramelly hops. Hazy dark amber colour. Quite caramelly hop flavour, teaish. Some alcohol. The hops are quite rough on my throat but still nice. T2Tool (260), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Aug 9, 2008 Poured from a 22-oz bottle a copper color with a nice foamy head. Lacing was really strong on this beer. Aroma of citrus and piney hops. Nice hop taste, as expected, but thought it also had a nice biscuit malt taste in the back that really balanced the beer. dkachur (723), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 8, 2008 22 oz, bottle from Greenwood Gourmet Grocery near Crozet, VA. Label states 6.6% abv. Reddish brown pour with a 2-finger head. Decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is brown-sugary malts with citrus and leafy hops. Taste is toffee, raisings and a very wet hop taste. This is nice. glennmastrange (392), hobe sound, Florida, USA Jul 28, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, heavy aromas of pine and grapefruit for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with light notes of brown sugar and dried fruit. Head was rocky, white with excellent lacing and was fully lasting. Color was hazy amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, between watery and oily and has a soft to lively carbonation. It finishes lightly astringent. I loved the smell of this beer after it warmed. It reminded me of the fresh hopped IPAs from California. decaturstevo (1181), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 26, 2008 Hazed brown/orange pour with a sticky off white head and lace. Medium hops on the nose riding on sweet maltiness. Citrus hops and the same sweet malt on the flavor. Medium/full bodied beer with pleasantly light carbonation. Solid ipa that is very clean.
