Commercial Description:
This English-style Barleywine is fermented and aged for ten months and dry hopped for two months prior to packaging to give it a smooth mouth feel rarely found in the bitter American barleywines. Its copper color is the result of twelve house of boiling to caramelize the sugars and we also add five varieties of hops during an additional two hour boil. As you can see and taste, we brew this beer with the highest level of quality in mind. Please enjoy this warming barleywine with its warming flavors and hint of peat very responsibly. Malts: Pale, Crystal, Peated. Hops: Magnum, Centennial, Northern Brewer, Cascade, Tettnanger, East Kent Goldings, Fuggles. 70 IBUs.

Appearance: Copper/orange color. Small particles (poured a bit much). Nice lasting head that’s offwhite and like a layer of tiny bubbles. LOTS of carbonation. Aroma: powerful green raisin and fruit aroma. Strong cookie bready malt backbone. Flavor: bitter, peaty like some scotches, needs more fruit/raisin flavor. Nees more sweetness. Spicey. Too many different hops kinda destroys any bit of hoppy flavor. Decent flavor. Palate: sweet, strong at first, then quickly fades. Thanks Chuck!

an interesting red/brown/copper hugh w/ a tall large bubbled head that laces lightly and dissapates pretty quickly. Smells of sweet malts, a nice grass hop, and a weak alcohol backbone. palate is lightly acidic has a good body. Flavor is a bit underwhellming has a nice easy sweet malt flavor w/ a weak hop hint and a tiny bit of carmel flavor a well masked alcohol and a bit of a woddy finish. Overall a good beer, but not as good as many others in the style.

Thin head, light cloudy orange. Very weak aroma. Taste is maily sweet malts, at least the alcohol is well masked. Caramel in the finish. They got the style right, but it’s nothing special.

A strange and different brew that poured a cloudy brownish. Lots of chunks chiling throughout the glass. Taste was of oak, some caramel, slight malt and spices. Not the best, a little bland.

Cloudy Orange with White Ring. Raisin/Prune Aroma and Some Notes on the Tongue as Well. Rich Malt and A Bit Spicy. Benign Barley Wine...Or Perhaps Just Very Balanced.

deep hazy amber with minimal beige head. Aroma was citrus/grapefruit/hops, herbs, caramel, passion fruit. Decent texture, medium bodied. Flavor was nicely blended with malt and hops. Pretty good stuff.

on draft at the left hand brewery. it’s a clear caramel color, w/ a sweet nose and flavor. the body is medium. it’s extremely drinkable for a barleywine.

Orange color with no head. Very slight malt aroma. Calm and subdued malt flavor with some assorted spices mixed in. This is a non-threatening barley wine to be sure.
