It is a good beer, but not a whole lot of balance going on. A little malt on the back end tries to even things out, but the bitter hops win. daknole (3028), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Good beer. Amber pour. Floral, citrus hops and malt on the nose. Flavor is malty and hoppy. Juicy hops with a good backbone of malts. Not bad. Not Pliny either!!! StFun (534), Indiana, USA

I did like the clean, crisp finish though, not sticky or bitter at all. Flavor is what you’d expect from an IIPA, if a little weak. Nice malt balance, and some notes of yeast. Pretty good. Beer strikes a solid balance between caramel malt and hoppy flavors, and has a really attractive golden pour. Super awesome name too obviously! bu11zeye (5655), Frisco, Texas, USA

Clear orange amber with small white head. Grapefruit and citrusy hops with some caramelized malt sweetness backing. Big bitter bite. Medium body and mouth feel. Finish is sweet but big hop bite dries it out quick. Nice IIPA chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway

balance people balance!
it can get really annoying here, there are so many really good double ipa’s, but some just make really hopped beers, without any decent backbone. bagh. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
