Pours orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is citrusy, fruity hops. The fruity aroma disappears on the taste. The hops almost become bready, with a strong bitterness. Not loving this one.

Pours golden in color with a large white head. Strong hoppy aroma with a hint of grasses. Flavor is dominated by hops, with some light grapefruit notes. Poor palate...thin and very bitter. Resembles a typical IPA, not a Double IPA.

Deep yellow and orange color pours out a nice fluffy off white head. Pine resin and citrus is all you smell. A lot of grapefruit. Just what I am looking for. Nice hop bitterness, but not over powering. The bitterness is the same as the aroma. Sweet body to it. No discernible flavors other than sweet. Felt a bit thin for a DIPA, but very good IMO.

Pours golden with an amber hue with a frothy off-white head. Strong aroma of piny hops, tropical fruit, and caramel malt. Flavor is straight-forward piny/slightly citric hops with a hint of roasted malts. Palate is medium with a fairly long finish. Pretty good, but run of the mill.

Yay! another boring DIPA! Golden yellow pour with TONS white head. Smelled like pine and citrus. Taste was all hops and pine. Very dry palate, not my style. Not very good honestly.

One of the more fun IIPA labels I’ve seen if nothing else. Opens up as a gusher. Buyer beware! Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, spice, pepper, earthy. Tastes lightly bitter and citrussy with a toasty malt backbone. Decent.

Great hoppy scent, pours nice and golden with a large head that is especially doughy after settling. Strong hop flavor that’s hampered by a bit of a watery texture. Really hoppy, but only hoppy. A lot of piney, grassy feeling. A little bit plain compared to other imperial IPAs such as Dogfish Head. This beer seems to rely on hops, whereas the DFH brew has plenty of complex, light fruits to balance out the hops. A bit of a letdown but still a must try for hopheads.

S Philly Taproom. A slightly off white cotton like head on a hazed golden yellow pool of hoppy redolence. The sweetness is less than expected from an IIPA. Highly pined. The bitter finish is long and dry. Look forward to trying again.
