| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2009 A tall, creamy off-white head sits above the clear, medium gold body.
Fresh citrus hop aroma.
Bitter, but only slightly so as the malt base is right there too.
Not overly complex or awe inspiring as IIPAs go, but soilid with no flaws. guzzler67 (1283), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Bright amber/gold appearance with a small, off white head that disappeared quickly but left a fair amount of lacing. Woodsy, piney hop aroma; also able to detect some caramel malt between whiffs. Resinous, piney hops are showcased with a smattering of toasted malts adding balance. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Dry, bitter, long lasting finish setauketone (10), setauket, New York, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Great double IPA! Got a growler fill at Stony Brook Beverage and was thrilled. Poured amber, not very dense, hoppy and earthy aroma, didnt kill the pallet like some other dipa’s. Radek Kliber (3962), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Appearance: poured amber with hint of gold , mid top , fine density. 3+. Nose: flowery bitter character , honey with hops , some alcohol at edges. 6+ Flavor/Palate : Heavy body , thick malts , sticky with lip sitting bitters at end. Bit lacking in spirit , alcohol fairly well covered.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2009 As the name suggests, it has a lot of hops in it. I think if they cut back the alcohol content, it might be a better tasting beer. I would compare it to Victory’s Hop Devil beer. wavers1 (172), novato, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 30, 2009 Orange/copper pour with a finger’s worth of white head. Aroma is pine hops, a little citrus, big sweet malt kick. Flavor is similar. Hops are not at the forefront, They are there, but in kind of a subdued way. The sweet malt is very forward. Nice beer, but a bit unbalanced.
