Jun 13, 2009 On tap at Zeno’s Pub - State College, PA. Decent cascade-hoppy aroma, with a bit of lemon rind spritzer and some green leaf. Pours a clear pale amber, orangish, with a soapy, long-lingering off-white head. Flavor is okay. There’s an awful lot of soapiness, minimal hop flavor, some hop oxidation, and a run of overly spicy house yeast. A little sloppy, but properly bitter. Alcohol lays low and the sugars come in a little high. This okay.

Jun 7, 2009 bottle: bit more hoppy than i’m used to, but it went down pretty well. Detailed nose and flavor with the perfect body.
Solid, well balanced beer but not for the faint of heart. Also, what a great name for a strong IPA.

Jun 1, 2009 Bottle Pours a clear golden with a good off white head. The head is frothy and lasting. Laces very well. Has a good aroma of hops, spice, pine and grapefruit. Has a good carbonation. A good mouthfeel. The flavor is balanced very well. Good bitter hops with a nice mix of malts but not too sweet. Has an oily texture. A medium body. Hides the alcohol well. A crisp finish with a good lingering aftertaste. This is a real good beer.

May 25, 2009 Crystal clear amber with a big frothy head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Nice pine and citrus flavor. Very dry and crisp finish. Pretty good, not great.

May 23, 2009 Orangey-amber colour with a fairly thick head. Orangey-woody hop aroma with some biscuity malt in the background. Rounded bitterness is woody and dry, with a splash of tropical fruit brightness. This is tempered by mellow, biscuity malts. The finish is dry, appetizing, with a hint of sweetness demanding more. Nicely balanced example.

May 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours bright orange with thick off-white head, model IPA looks. Aroma is pretty bright, definitely herbal, a bit mineral and just a tad citrus zest. Smooth quaffable great mouthfeel. Very good flavors, surprisingly balanced and not in the least bit at all chewy. Flavors are frutier than the aromas, has killer killer killer hop profile. Not tropical fruit, a little earthy but not in a heavy way, just pure dandelion green-like hoppy goodness, one of the best IIPAs I’ve had in a while.

May 20, 2009 On tap. Pours a clear amber with a modest off-white head that has great retention and crazy lacing. Aroma of orange blossom honey, citrus hops, caramel, toffee, pine resin. Taste is excellent: lots of bitter, piney and resiny hops balanced by honey, caramel, white pepper, citrus with some earthiness, dirtiness, and herbal hops. Great bitter, quick finish. Creamy on the palate. Moderate carbonation. I really enjoyed this and would recommend it. Yum.

May 18, 2009 This one wih complbut decent mouthfeel; Thanks for bringing, Jason. Grapefruit colour and foamy white head. A good high IBU well-integreated, citrus, and good lacing. Really bitter, bit well-malted.
