| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Pours an amber-orange into the glass, with a pillowy white head that diminishes to a 1/4-inch soapy ring down the glass. The aromas are of candied citrus and some fresh pine. The flavors are similar, with a cutting piney-hop bitter throughout a grapefruit-citrus and malt background. The latter contingencies (malt-based) do not feel "quite up-to-par" with the standard of a top-shelf IIPA. The bitterness is certainly there, and a nice aspect of the brew, but the malts don’t seem quite in balance, as the mouthfeel suffers from being a bit oily and thin overall... just not quite thick enough for a staunch Impy IPA. Overall, a good brew... ABV is superbly integrated, and has some definite promise. brewcrew2002 (50), USA

Flavor is nice and bitter great hop flavors of citrus, and a decent malt balance. a really solid good fix for my hop withdrawls. up here in no hops land i really appreciate a beer like this. marcus (1885), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 24, 2009 This orange ale poured with a fluffy off-white head. The flavor is mostly citrus and pine with some serious hop bitterness. Not for the weak-hearted, but actually a pretty tasty brew. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Pours a rich golden to orange color with medium lived beige head. Smell is lightly hoppy, but restrained. Tea and fruity notes. Taste is clean, bitter but moderately so, with a nice light clean maltiness coming in at the end. Some orange and lightly citrusy fruity notes along with some definite piney resin flavor. Medium bodied with crisp carbonation. WeeHeavySD (3016), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Bomber from Tweety, thanks dude. Shared with dalekliz and my girlfriend. Pours reddish orange with a tan head. Nose is hoppy but muted with a touch of resin and pine. Taste is ok, but not equivalent in any way to optimus prime’s dominance. crash83 (7), Maryland, USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Bomber. Orange color, big creamy head. TONS OF HOPS! All the floral notes, citrus flavor, and bitterness that a good double IPA should have (in my opinion). My favorite Sunday afternoon football beer of 2008 and one of my all-time favorite IPA’s. bhensonb (4341), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Bomber from Wine Specialist. Dark orange copper color with a huge off-white head. Strong aromas of mildly roasted malt and floral/citrus. Medium plus body with roasty malt backing. This must be fresh. Lush hop. Floral with a touch of citrus. Lots of hop. Finishes floral, malty, but nearly dry. Bitter curls around the edges of the tongue, but softly. Just excellent. Can’t even sense the alcohol. Erased by hop burn!
