Commercial Description:
Midnight Wit is a Belgian-style white ale with a medium body and spicy, citrus overtones. The texture is silky, creamy, and refreshingly delightful. Brewed with European Pilsner malt, unmalted wheat, a blend of 5 different spices and then fermented with a classic Belgian yeast strain. Our Brewmaster learned the art of brewing tantalizing and award-winning white beers during his time in Belgium and this beer shows it.

Bottle (12oz). Pale gold, pale watery gold, smallish head, a few randomly spaced small bubbles. Sweet slightly papery malt backbone, light coriander, a fair bit of grassy hops. Taste has light fruit, grassy hops, but a nice infusion of citrus, decently sour in the finish. Average body for a wit (meaning watery), only mildly carbonated, a little sour, quick finish - not bad, but I’m a little underwhelmed after all is said and done.

Light yellow pour, hints of spices with a mild kick of some corriander and maybe some banana to add.

12oz bottle. Poured a lighter and slightly hazy yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of stronger spices, lemon / citrus, and yeast. Tastes of lemons, some wheat, spices, and a trace of bananas. Thinner body.

12 oz bottle sampled from drewbeerme. Hay yellow in color with a thin head. Aroma is witlike citrus lemon yeast spice. Light bodied almost watery with citrus flavors, corriander, banana, and grain. Not too much goin on. Silky, creamy and refreshingly delightful? Not really. The essence of pure pleasure? I wouldn’t say that either. Its not very tasty, but not horrible either.

Draft and bottle at varios times. Pours turbid whitish yellow, with minimal white head. Aroma of clove, heavy citrus and hops. Tastes citric, clovey, and hoppy, with some mid-palate banana, bubblegum, and black peppery hints. Good complexity.

12oz bottle, sorry can’t recall who sent this. pours cloudy yellow with no head. nose has loads of coriander and yeast, with some cloves. taste is really weak with mild pepper, citrus, and banana notes. mouthfeel is very watery. mild infection too. very poor wit.

Pours a hazy golden with a thin, wispy covering of white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale slightly biscuity malt has a nice dose of coriander and lemony citrus. Body starts a little thinner and more citric without the light sweetness I like in witbiers. Could use a little more sweet balance, otherwise a fairly authentic wit. Thanks to hopdog for the bottle.

A very good Belgian Wit. Very nice and refreshing citrus-fruit flavor with just a bit of spice at the end. Good stuff.
