Commercial Description:
Midnight Wit is a Belgian-style white ale with a medium body and spicy, citrus overtones. The texture is silky, creamy, and refreshingly delightful. Brewed with European Pilsner malt, unmalted wheat, a blend of 5 different spices and then fermented with a classic Belgian yeast strain. Our Brewmaster learned the art of brewing tantalizing and award-winning white beers during his time in Belgium and this beer shows it.

Pale slightly fruity aroma. Lightly spicy flavor. Light overall but ok for a summer brew. Sampled at Stoudts 17th Annual Microfest: June 2008

Sticking with the wit kick, cloudy like orange juice, off orange almost rancid color, tasted similar, good with a slice of orange to cut the off bitterness tang. Not the best, but unique.

Pours a subtley cloudy gold witht just a scant white head. Whispery aroma of lemons and coriander. Quiet. Flavors do not meld well, with each flavor characteristic fighting to gain top billing as opposed to working together for the sake of the beer. Clove, coriander, wheat, orange, lemon. Could mesh better.

12oz bonus, I’m guessing from ?. Shared with my Girlfriend Cyn. Pours cloudy yellow with a bright white ring. Decent nose. Sweet and lightly spiced. A decent wit, nothing to write home about.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with a moderately thin white head. Light but pleasant aroma of yeast, citrus and a bit of spice. The flavor is lightly sour with yeast, wheat, coriander, lemon and curacao all present. Finish is light and refreshing. I could see myself having one of these on a hot summer day.

12 oz bottle. Hazy lemony yellow with a fizzy white head. Lightly sweet nose, lemongrass and wheat. Flavor is like a Blue Moon crossed with a Wittekerke - not bad, but heavier than expected, body-wise. Eh. OK, I guess.

Weak baby food and DMS smell. Hazy yellow pour with a thin white head. Tastes of peas and beans covering coriander. Clearly compromised and resembling nothing but tainted beer.

Decent witbier. A bit more grainy and less yeasty than most witbiers I have had. Nice level of spice, not overpowering but noticeable. Light citrus acidity. Not a fantastic beer, but quite pleasant drinking when it’s hot outside.
