Bottle: Smelled of newsprint, cardboard, a bit of clove and spices, and a touch of pine hops. Poured golden in color with a medium white head that diminished very quickly. No lacing. Lightly sparkling. Hazy. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet. Tastes of spices, with a lot of clove and a fair amount of yeast. Light to medium body. Tingly texture. Average carbonation. Sweet clove finish. Overall, too sweet. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Pours a golden yellow with a white head. Smells spicy, coriander, orange rind, very normal. Taste is boring, too sweet, gives me a headache. All water and sugar. Just a really bad beer. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Hazy yellow, moderate head with blah lacing and retention. Aroma is spiced with the usual stuff. Lightly tart finish, fairly light bodied. Nothing great or bad about it, just ’another’ wit. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2007 7/03/2007: Legacy Midnight Wit pours a cloudy yellowish white color with a frothy white head. There is an adequate level of visible carbonation. The aroma contains orange, hints of corriander, and some yeasty wheat. The flavor is a bit different than the typical Belgian Wit. It is quite good and contains some fruity (lightly tropical) wheat malt, mild citrus (orange and lemon), delicate spice, and a slight, complementary sourness in the clean finish. The flavors are very well matched and balanced. The medium body is smooth on the palate and isn’t too carbonated. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. It varies a little from the typical Belgian-style Wit and is better than expected!

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Pale straw color with white head. Big nose of fresh lemon citrus and some mild hay aromas. Flavor is a bright, sharp lemon, not too sweet, and balanced nicely by some spice and mild maltiness. Clean finish, if not a bit too clean-- lacking in body throughout, especially in the finish. Just not as full and creamy as, say, Allagash. Darned refreshing though, this is a good beer.
