Commercial Description:
Midnight Wit is a Belgian-style white ale with a medium body and spicy, citrus overtones. The texture is silky, creamy, and refreshingly delightful. Brewed with European Pilsner malt, unmalted wheat, a blend of 5 different spices and then fermented with a classic Belgian yeast strain. Our Brewmaster learned the art of brewing tantalizing and award-winning white beers during his time in Belgium and this beer shows it.

Spicy-sour aroma. Dry. Soft but not overcarbonated. Clean flavors finishing with a big hit of citrus and spice on the finish. Enjoyably drinkable.

Pours very pale and bubbly. Very lemony, lagery aroma. Tons of citrus, a bit of wheat and metal aftertaste. Crisp but not very interesting.

Bottle: Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma, lemon, wheat, and banana, some yeast. Flavor, lemon, tar, some wheat, bready, some banana in the flavor as well. Decent beer.

Thin white head which dissipates quickly. Spicy peppery aroma with some sharp hops, lemon and fresh salty air. Medium gold in color with light carbonation. Zippy flavor and mouthfeel. Slightly tart with some more spices, lemon and yeast. Hint of bready malts as it warms. Finishes sharp and dry with a lingering spicyness. Decent.

Pours hazy light gold color with lots of head. Not a very strong flavor, but a pleasant flavor and finish.

First wit I’ve had in a rather long while, and not a good one to come back with. Pours an almost alarmingly neon yellow with little head to speak of. General carbonation is alright, though. Taste is pisslike wheat, overly lemony (but bad lemon), hint of garbage (note: I can’t actually say that with a straight face). This is, uh, not that good.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of pepper, spice and zesty lemon. Taste is peppery with hints of corriander and lemon. Not bad, but nothing special. A good warm day brew.
