Commercial Description:
Midnight Wit is a Belgian-style white ale with a medium body and spicy, citrus overtones. The texture is silky, creamy, and refreshingly delightful. Brewed with European Pilsner malt, unmalted wheat, a blend of 5 different spices and then fermented with a classic Belgian yeast strain. Our Brewmaster learned the art of brewing tantalizing and award-winning white beers during his time in Belgium and this beer shows it.

murky & uneven hazy straw color - quickly dissipating head. Aroma of bready yeast, wheat malt, pepper & coriander. Flavor is spicy and tart, with some hints of citrus, lemon, and peppery spice. Chewy yeast in the body as well.

Cloudy, dark straw body with a fading, frothy white head. Aroma has a note of sulfur plus meaty and fruity elements, moderate clove, bubble gum, and citrus meringue qualities. Flavor is rich and bready for a witbier, almost like a yeast starter. Also has prominent citrus character and is modestly sweet with light phenols and a spicy, bitter orange finish. More fullness than expected on the palate. Not bad, but this one isn’t quite dialed in.

A light translucent blonde with a with a very thin white head. Aroma of lemon and cloves, rather light. In mouth, a rather light and refreshing wit with lots of lemon, corinader, cloves, and a light sweet candy finish. Rather light bodied, but sustained spices remain. Bottle from Party Source, Syracuse.

Thin white head which dissipates quickly. Spicy peppery aroma with some sharp hops, lemon and fresh salty air. Medium gold in color with light carbonation. Zippy flavor and mouthfeel. Slightly tart with some more spices, lemon and yeast. Hint of bready malts as it warms. Finishes sharp and dry with a lingering spicyness. Decent.

12 oz btl from alexsdad in hand off trade. A hazed golden yellow pour with light white lace. An aroma of belgian yeast and spices like coriander. A bit of a tartness on the flavor fades to a bit of a sour. A medium carbonation not fizzy but foamy and a bit thin. A good flavor. Overall taste is good a refreshing beer drank @ about 55*.

Light in color with a decent wheaty aroma. Classic "Wit" style - smooth, sweet, citrusy, refreshing, but a bit weak. Needs a bit more oomph to it. Also not good to have immediately after a Nor’easter.
