| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2006 Cloudy, dark straw body with a fading, frothy white head. Aroma has a note of sulfur plus meaty and fruity elements, moderate clove, bubble gum, and citrus meringue qualities. Flavor is rich and bready for a witbier, almost like a yeast starter. Also has prominent citrus character and is modestly sweet with light phenols and a spicy, bitter orange finish. More fullness than expected on the palate. Not bad, but this one isn’t quite dialed in.

Classic "Wit" style - smooth, sweet, citrusy, refreshing, but a bit weak. Needs a bit more oomph to it. Also not good to have immediately after a Nor’easter. blklab2007 (981), Connecticut, USA
