Pours a clear, deep, amber.
The aroma is complex, caramel malt and dried fruit.
Smooth sweet start, with a good supportive bitterness. The bitterness comes in at the back, and remains through the finish.
The body is a bit thin, but overall this is an acceptable Barleywine.

Aroma is wonderful and very sweet, with sugar, perhaps some cherries, plums, cinamonn and some caramel. Flavor is not malty like most barleywines, just a bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Caramel, slight hints of chocolate, some roasted brown sugar, and just an overall sweetness. One of the best BW’s I’ve had. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
