2006 bottle kept refridgerated. Pours brown with a off white head. Smells of oranges, roses, earthy malt and some residual sugary sweetness. Tastes overly sweet with molasses and maple syrup qualities dominating here. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is sweet and mildly warming.

2007 bottle from Kinz. Clear, dark amber body with a large, beige head, lasting, nice lace. The aroma is grapes, tangerine, orange and toffee. The flavor is very citrusy, lightly sweet and fairly boozy with toffee, figs, a touch of roast and prunes. Full body is thin with light carbonation and a warm, bitter end.

Bottle@LCRBM2. Hazy red amber, blanket head. Big hop aroma (pine, orangepeel). Wellmalted and chewy, slick mouthfeel. Wellbalanced bitter and aromatic (pine , orange orchard). Fairly fresh. Oranges in the aftertaste.

Had a try at this at the brewpub, draft, Intense Flavor, but not over the top. Not sure how many of these anyone could handle in a night.

Bottle. Another big sweet US barleywine that we had at the Low Countries RB meetup in 2006. Lots of piney sweet hops in this one, quite grapefruity. Lots of sweet caramelly malt notes. Some light toasty notes aswell aswell as a touch of diacetyl. Quite intense flavour/mouthfeel.

Draft. Nice looking burgundy-brown. Not much foam, yet ring of light orange head remains throughout. Nothing especially distinctive about the flavoring but I detect some sort of plum or raisiny flavor. Well balanced in that high alcohol content is unnoticeable. Hops presence is obvious. Not overly carbonated which is a very good thing. Personal Note: I was on Vicodin and drank two of these things and I was flying high!
