Lots of piney sweet hops in this one, quite grapefruity. Lots of sweet caramelly malt notes. Some light toasty notes aswell aswell as a touch of diacetyl. Quite intense flavour/mouthfeel. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 8, 2007 Draft. Nice looking burgundy-brown. Not much foam, yet ring of light orange head remains throughout. Nothing especially distinctive about the flavoring but I detect some sort of plum or raisiny flavor. Well balanced in that high alcohol content is unnoticeable. Hops presence is obvious. Not overly carbonated which is a very good thing.
Personal Note: I was on Vicodin and drank two of these things and I was flying high! LooseCannon (931), Norfolk, Virginia, USA
