| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Bottle; poured a brownish color with small to medium creamy head. Aroma was light; caramel and nuts. Not a big fan of the style and this is version is nothing special. Flavor of caramel, chocolate and not much else. Mouthfeel was a little off. Expected a bit more from them. JamesD (198), Centreville, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 A pretty good beer. It has a balanced hop and malty aroma. The flavor begins with a sharp note of hops and morphs into maltiness with a note of yeast. The mouthfeel is the slightest bit syrupy, which I’m not a fan of, but it’s not too prominent. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

Lightly sweet stonefruit and toast aroma. Almost comes off as an amber ale - a good bit of bittering, some sulphur. Body somehow reminds me of styrofoam - simultaneously substantial and vacant. Light vanilla spiciness. A little tangy in the finish. luv2brew (179), Chesterfield, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Had this one on tap down at Glory Days. Murky brown color with a nose of caramel and mild medium acidic hops. This one was a little over carbonated, but it really had a great maltiness to it. It had a choco caramel taste with a mild burntness to it. I was really impressed. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
