Aroma is very fruity with apple dominating and notes of a more sugary sweetness. Red/brown body holds a world champion fader of a head that leaves tiny white slick. Lots of caramel malt, fruity apple and pear along with peantu skins and meatier nut notes. The flavor is spot on for the most part, but the alcohol is a touch more noticeable than expected for the style. Still a decent Brown.

Feb 20, 2006 22oz bottle acquired in trade with The_Beer_God (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy brownish color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of nuts, caramel, and some toasted malts. Tastes of stronger caramel, nuts, and some orange. Starts of sweet and ends in a light hop and almost tart finish.

Feb 17, 2006 Updated: Sep 18, 200922 oz bottle. The beer pours a Red-Brown color, light tan head. Roasted, nutty, and sweet aroma. Slightly caramel and brown malty flavor. Hyped up, but quite enjoyable.

Jan 31, 2006 I get the feeling that this beer was supposed to be how it was. However, I liked it quite a bit as it was and will rate it accordingly. A cloudy light mahoghany with voluminous yet diminishing head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, mild acidity, and cherries. Yes, cherries. Taste distinctly fruity and sour with an ending toffee sweetness and cherry-doughy aftertaste. Like a brown mixed with a flemish sour and achieving a juicy tart-sweet balance. Very nice.

Dec 28, 2005 Deep reddish-brown color, generous tan head. Aroma is strong, exclusively caramel. Taste is sweet, balanced malts and hops, caramel, hint of honey and something else I can’t figure out. Good mouthfeel, medium-bodied, slick, frothy. I really like this beer.
