Aroma is very fruity with apple dominating and notes of a more sugary sweetness. Red/brown body holds a world champion fader of a head that leaves tiny white slick. Lots of caramel malt, fruity apple and pear along with peantu skins and meatier nut notes. The flavor is spot on for the most part, but the alcohol is a touch more noticeable than expected for the style. Still a decent Brown. hopdog (5591), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium and hazy brownish color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of nuts, caramel, and some toasted malts. Tastes of stronger caramel, nuts, and some orange. Starts of sweet and ends in a light hop and almost tart finish. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 31, 2006 I get the feeling that this beer was supposed to be how it was. However, I liked it quite a bit as it was and will rate it accordingly. A cloudy light mahoghany with voluminous yet diminishing head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, mild acidity, and cherries. Yes, cherries. Taste distinctly fruity and sour with an ending toffee sweetness and cherry-doughy aftertaste. Like a brown mixed with a flemish sour and achieving a juicy tart-sweet balance. Very nice. RazingDreamz (123), North Carolina, USA

Taste is sweet, balanced malts and hops, caramel, hint of honey and something else I can’t figure out. Good mouthfeel, medium-bodied, slick, frothy. I really like this beer.
