Aroma is dark fruit-cherry, dark malt-molasses. Taste is dark fruit-cherry/raisin/plum/prune, vinuous, dark malt-molasses, some bitter/acidic, alcohol. Nicely done and potent, not quite my taste. After warming up, smoother, mellower, richer, nice. Occasional. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

Maniac joined me for a pint. Straight up black in appearance with a nice tan head, quite attractive. Aroma was caramel with a faint hint of smoke. Flavor was more caramel, molasses, a touch more smoke, and the faintest tinge of black cherry. Surprisingly good, quite smooth bodied. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
