Golden appearance, thin head, adequate lacing. Citrus nose, however it was lighter hopped than an average IPA. Legend Golden IPA is on the dry side but drinkable. This IPA would compliment seafood meal, especially crabs. Foxbush (468), Richmond, Virginia, USA

The IPA poured wih a small head that disappeared. The color was a rich golden hue. This IPA is a well balanced pale ale with hints of grapefruit. This is not as strongly hopped as other IPAs. I find that this is a good IPA but not special. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA

Slightly cloudy deep golden color with lots of carbonation. Aroma of oranges with bread. Simple but pleasant. the taste has some bread crust along with grapefruit. A light tasting yet, full bodied brew. A slightly sticky mouthfeel. Very nice. guzzler67 (1288), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2005 Light gold, almost pilsner-like, appearance with a large, white head. Aroma of doughy, bready malts. The hoppy taste was more delicate and spicier than many typical IPA’s, almost like a west coast wet-hopped beer. Dry, short lived finish. 7%? Really? heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2005 Brilliant golden, nice head retention. Bright noble-y hop aroma. with a touch of orange rind, rather intense. Nicely textured malts. Fairly sweet for how pale it is. More noble hops in the flavor, more rindey bitterness. This is a good IPA. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Dec 17, 2004 Crystal clear blonde coloured body with a light orange tint and a fast dissolving white head. Aroma of malt, cardboard, stale hops and scotch or vermouth. Medium to Light-bodied; Strong alcoholic flavour up front with a lingering pineyness and an unpleasant bitterness throughout. Aftertaste shows more of the same bitter flavours, no hops and hardly any malt. Overall, a pretty bad beer-not an IPA in my mind-where are all the hops? I sampled this fresh (bought two weeks prior) 65 cL bottle purchased at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 26-November-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. meathookjones (245), Sterling, Virginia, USA

22oz Bomber. This pours out an extremely clear golden yellow color with a nice sized white head of foam. Head retention is decent and it leaves a nice lace about the glass. The nose is fairly mild with a grassy hop aroma being the main ingredient and a slight caramel malt starts to come through as it warms. A very yeasty and grainy taste to this, very similar to many macros. Not much else going on with the taste other than a foul after taste that does stick around for a while. Mouthfeel is fine and drinkability is defiantly put off by the taste. Not recommended. egajdzis (3640), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2004 Poured a golden color with a small, white head, that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet popcorn, diactyl, and caramel malts. Taste was buttery, caramel, and toffee, with along lingering bitterness. Overall too buttery and not hoppiness of an IPA for me.
