| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2009 Pours reddish orange with a thin off white head. Aroma is nice sweet floral hops and actually a little bit nutty. Taste is those same flavors up front, but then the hops turn a little too bitter at the end adn this prevents it from being a really good beer, although it is still pretty good. Taste is sweet hoppy and too bitter for my liking. Taste is no match for the nose. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 16, 2009 Bottle from 2008 at Squires. Freshly poured right now as I drink it. Pours clear deep copper with dark straw bottom lip and 1-finger off-white head that retains well. Nose is huge, huge mangoey hops, with caramel malt, honeydew, and canteloupe. The nose here reminds me a lot of Stone X. Tastes very hoppy, tropical fruity, with a solid malt bill, and late resiny flavor. Rich, complex flavor and palate. Waters out a bit late, with the malt taking a backseat and the heft reducing a bit, but overall, if you love hops, you’ll crave this. blklab2007 (978), Connecticut, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 21, 2009 bottle poured an orange amber color with a big off white head that retained fairly well. aroma has nice bitter and citrus hops without being in your face. mouth feel is medium with good carbonation and nice coating. flavor starts toward the bitter hop side, sweetness picks up, light citrus pops in, good malt balance, and nutty traces. this is actually quite nice, well balanced, and plenty hoppy without being carried away. Appearance: Deep amber brown , clear ale with good white top.< br />Nose: Citric aroma , fresh mango , grape like hints with touch of rye malt. Flavor/Palate : Raw bitterness , hop feel with sweet amber malt as fill up. Bit rough at edges. Late alcohol burn. Felt a bit thin especially if you compare to its richness of flavours.

Lovely amber pour with a thick silky head, this is a delightfully fresh and flavorful entry from this slept-on brewery. Gentle hop aroma, not a face-wrecker by any means but a solid and lightly tropical IPA. Slight toasted malts in the flavor give it a nutty complement, like some sort of trail mix of IPAs or something. Mouthfeel could be a bit thicker, but this one’s very nice.
