JoeMcPhee (3815), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 29, 2008 Thanks to jcwattsrugger. Deep amber with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma is a little bit nutty and sweet. There is a fairly prominent woody hop aroma along with a light tropical fruit aroma as well. Some light tangerine and a bit of herbal/spiciness. Soft bitterness over a lightly caramelly/toasty malt base. OK, but kind of underwhelming. sliffy (1951), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 24, 2008 Bottle shared by puddintane: Pours a copper color with a white head, holy floaties batman. Aroma, earthy notes, citrus, caramel, metallic. Flavor, caramel, spices, metallic, sweet malts, an earthy and chunky finish. MaltDawg (369), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 16, 2008 22oz bomber at brewery 5/14/08.
Mostly clear but with large chunks of sediment/yeast cake floaties. (mmmmmm....Vitamine B)
Nice citrusy piney hop aroma with honey and carmelized malt. Sweet caramel malt background with pronounced citrusy and floral hop flavors. Full sweet mouthfeel with some lingering hop bitterness in the finish. obguthr (707), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Apr 26, 2008 Immensely piney aroma with lightly roasted chestnuts and caramel. Sparkling clear copper pour with a thin peach colored head. Bitter and clean finishing pine needle, but rather weak. Good, but severely lacking in something. The hops are good quality, but the malt doesn’t thrill me. The rating is very generous. Sammy (3140), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 15, 2008 Well, this could be a pale as it is citrus or an English style IPA. Cloudy orange with substantial white head and a nose of orange-tangerine. Easy drinking under-control hoppy with a mix of hops.
