Nice sweetish evergreen aroma. Nice malt with an excellent finishing bitter. Much more hop flavor than aroma. Carbonation is good mouthfeel is just a bit thin. Solid all round beer that edges on damn good. TURDFERGUSON (1603), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

Pours an orange amber with a light white head. Nose is lightly hoppy. Flavor is similar to aroma and is fairly one-dimensional with little-to-no malt backbone. luv2brew (179), Chesterfield, Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Pours dark gold with a massive white soft head. The aroma smells of some extremely high aciidic hops. The medium to high maltiness balances everything out wonderfully. This has hit the nail on the head. It is as close to perfectly balanced as you can get. There is not a large bite of bitterness at the end because I believe it ’s all in the nose. There is nuttiness as well as a small bit of chewiness that comes along with the body of this one. This is a solid brew no doubt.

Decent zesty citrus character up front, almost no malt to speak of. Flavor nice combo of pine resin and citrus, but dusty, again no backbone. Sort of flat, oxidation is starting to set in. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 27, 2007 Yeah, I get too much diacetyl in this one too. Really detracts at this level from what could be a quite tasty beer. CaptainCougar (5488), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Pours a transparent dark copper bronze with a frothy, well-lacing off-white head. Nice aroma of fresh piny hops and toasty dark caramel malt. Body starts slightly oily and mildly sweet with some earthy flavor hops and mild butterscotch diacetyl. Has some lightly toasty sugary notes and a touch of tartness. If they’d use a diacetyl rest, this could be a very nice beer. ryan (1776), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
