| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 30, 2005 From bottle. Pours gold with a decent white head. Nose is grapefruit and light berries (strawberry?) Lacing is nil. Flavor is grapefruit and hops, with some maltiness. Malt becomes more apparent in the finsih, which is smooth and slightly bitter. This is on par with the best IPAs I have had, (including DFH), and a bargain to boot! sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2005 Medium sized rocky tan cap on a clear copper base, lacing is bountiful and lasting. Pungent, juicey hop nose, citrusy and grassy with a hint of toasty malts backing them. Body ia med/large, lightly resiny with a solid carbonation. Malt/hop balance is good, lightly sweet malts and a nice fruitiness, apricots and berries. Hop bite is solid, fairly resiny. Finish is lightly sweet, hoppy and fruity. Props to the The_Beer_God for this one! tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2005 Perfumey, strong hop nose has plenty of citrus and resiny pinelike characteristics and some herbal, leafy, woody notes. Clear, copper coloured body is topped by a low, white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Citrus and resiny pine flavours are strong with bitterness aplenty, but there is a definite sweet malt backbone here. Medium body is quite dry with moderate, fine bubbled carbonation. Sampled on the PA trip 2005. OldGrowth (1433), North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2005 Bottle, from trade with The_Beer_God. Good nose, sweet. Orange, pine, honey. Some caramel as it warmed. Something like a oaky/whisky crept in also as warmed. Cloudy brownish orange color, good head that faded to nothing, no lacing to speak of. Bitter flavors, Big Bitter flavors. Grapefruit, lemon, little grassy metallic too. That whisky thing too. Medium body, Creamy mouthfeel, bitter, grapefruity, finish. Kind of dried out from bitterness, This is a big puckering beer. Maybe lost a point or two for being one sided, but still enjoyable for the hophead in you. Thanks TBG. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Great head with light carbonation. Very frothy and reduces to leave a nice lacing. Great aroma. Peaches, oranges, citrus, hops. Crystal clear orange/amber. Light fruity flavor with more peaches hops and light malts. I love peaches. A little warming from the alcohol. Clean finish. Slightly bitter. Distinct peaches in the aftertaste. Did I mention that I love peaches. A great fruity double IPA. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
