Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jul 6, 2008 2005 vintage (most likely) courtesy of footbalm. Pours crystal clear copper with thin white head. The aroma is muted pine and fir tree hoppiness and some malt sweetness way out in the background. The flavor has an initial burst of carbonation induced pine hop non bitterness. Pretty good for the age on this brew. The flavor also carries mildly roasted malt sweetness from beginning to end. I should compare this experience to a fresh sample at some point.
douglas88 (829), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jun 27, 2008 Updated: Jun 30, 2008An unknown vintage discovered during an exploration into footbalm’s cellar. Found right next to a ancient Aztec drinking skull. Pours a light amber with a thin tan head. The aroma was a full mix of sweet malts and some hops. The taste had a bit of grapefruit hops up front, then a bunch of sweet malt aspects, quite relaxed and has aged well in my opinion. Very interesting. 00cobraR (972), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Jan 2, 2008 Pours out a nice bright coppery color with a smaller head. aroma is sweet and fairly hoppy. The flavor was sweet and hoppy with a malty finish. I was hoping for more hops to it, but overall this was a nice brew. ross (1562), charlotte, North Carolina, USA Jan 1, 2008 Bottle brought over by Daniel, thanks. My first experience with anything from this brewery, and it was a good one. Dark red color pour with a yellowish head. Looks very similar to the Laughing Dog Imperial IPA. Smells sweet, hoppy, and plenty full of malts and hops. Tastes smooth, yet very powerful even for a low abv. Easy to drink, one that I would drink again, and I imagine this would be really good on tap. Nice stuff. franksnbeans (265), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 23, 2007 Pours a clear as day ruby copper with a nice frothy head that dies quick. Lacing occurs in sheets. Smells of fruity hops, a little piney, nothing abrasive but strong still the same. Tastes as it smells. Big juicy but fruity hops. Also a very nice malty backbone. Very crisp and refreshing in the mouth. No abv apparant and an extremely sessionable IIPA.
