clear yellow, thin fine white head, drippy lace, sweet corn aroma, nice corn flavor with sweetness balanced by enough hops to balance and only give a pleasant bitter finish

Taste is medium sweet, some grassy, light butter, minimal bitterness. Light body, some crispness. Definitely the least impressive of the Legends I have tried. jcwattsrugger (5532), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 14, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Honeyed cereals benefit from a noble hop middle in this slick and quiet Premium Lager ot the utmost simplicity.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam sinks into the clear golden.
-There are barely any hops in the finish.
-The body is lean and clean, and appropriately carbonated.
-Malts provide few flavors yet sustain nicely throughout the pint.
-This is inherently drinkable, so I guess they are reaching their goals, but I cannot say it is memorable nor tasty.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2004 Draft. Pours pale gold, with aroma of malt, hops, and some honey. Tastes malty, sweet, with some honey and hops at the finish. Somewhat light on mouthfeel but extremely smooth and crisp. This is one delicious lager. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2006 Largish draught sample at the brewpub. Light clear gold pour with a touch of head and lots of continuous bubbling....soft grassy-leafy nose with just a hint of butterscotch, really a pleasant sweet tang rather than full-blown diacetyl grossness, also a hint of German yeast and rough farmhouse bread-dough.....really clean, smooth body with hints of a rustic, weedy meadow softened by rain....earthy/grassy, thirst-quenching with a beautiful carbonation level, soft but somehow a little gritty and lively as well....light yeast, unfiltered and unpasteurized, rustic and charming and absolutely full of flavor.....truly excellent lager, sadly underapreciated, and among the best of the fine beers I tried at this excellent brewpub. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 24, 2004 Very thin white head. Light pale gold color. Arom aof grass, dirt and carrots. Some honey as it warms up. The taste is celery salt with some metal notes. Also white bread and a peppery finish for a lager. This smooths out as you drink. The mouthfeel is thick. Thanks milkmandan. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 8, 2003 Solid-looking grain beer with a decent head. It's sweet, but there's a soapy almost detergent character. Queer. Flat.
