Very nice flavor, initially quite sweet and fruity, bit rich and buttery. Ends with a kiss of hops, but sweetness keeps forward. More fruity than expected, but quite good. Full palate. Nice. Chewy malts, nicely textured, good mouthfeel. Lemony touches late. I’m impressed. dkachur (2373), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Creamy taste, with a subtle hoppiness, but also very clean tasting. Nice effort. Scubatrip (388), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA

Sure, it’s light and underwhelming to the tastebuds, but it doesn’t entirely compromise flavor. As long as you didn’t just drink an IPA, this beer does have some nice, however subtle, hop/malt characteristics. Tastes much better on draft. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Light clear gold pour with a touch of head and lots of continuous bubbling....soft grassy-leafy nose with just a hint of butterscotch, really a pleasant sweet tang rather than full-blown diacetyl grossness, also a hint of German yeast and rough farmhouse bread-dough.....really clean, smooth body with hints of a rustic, weedy meadow softened by rain....earthy/grassy, thirst-quenching with a beautiful carbonation level, soft but somehow a little gritty and lively as well....light yeast, unfiltered and unpasteurized, rustic and charming and absolutely full of flavor.....truly excellent lager, sadly underapreciated, and among the best of the fine beers I tried at this excellent brewpub. Tastes malty, sweet, with some honey and hops at the finish. Somewhat light on mouthfeel but extremely smooth and crisp. This is one delicious lager.
