| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2006 Great reddish-brown body with a quickly diminishing tan head. A very light aroma, sweet, malty, very nice. Subtle flavor, grassy accents, earthy malts as well, very well done. Clean ending, one of Legend’s better seasonals. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2006 Copper color, high carbonation. Nice, subtle aroma. Not much of a flavor at first but after a few seconds there is a sweet hoppy flavor. Nice, but doesn’t last long. VA Homebrewer (525), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2005 Copper colored with a tannish head. Aroma of spicy and earthy hops, lightly malty. Big spicy/grassy/earthy hops with a nice malt backbone - very much like bread dough. Nice beer, but not my favorite Legend Seasonal. Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2005 The doppelbock release, followed quickly by a maibock to my surprise. Too bad I don’t like the style. In any case, a pretty beer as almost all Legend beers are, nice creamy tan head sitting on a clear copper orange body. Bready nose with some fruit as well. Flavor had more bread (big time), some apricot, and some spiciness that just sort of struck me as odd. Not bad, but not my thing. Not overly sweet at least. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2005 Bottle. Legends newest seasonal. Clear copper body with a tall foamy manilla colored head. Nose is malty and semi-sweet with big fruit notes, light caramel, yeast and a hint of alcohol. Taste is spicy and malty. Big spices intermingling with creamy malts, ripe fruit, light caramel, and hops. Little more spicy and hopy than expected, but this turns out better than the Doppelbock. Body is full and with a moderate carbonation feel. Dry is spots with lingering light spicy hop bitterness. Finishes with more spicy hops, light yeast, dried fruit, light nuttiness, caramel and creamy malts. Nice beer!
