Jul 11, 2008 22oz bottle acquired in trade with dkachur (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, wet grass, horse manure, and toasted caramel. Tastes of toasted malt, wet grass, caramel, and a lighter earthiness.

Jul 10, 2008 Taps at Capital Ale House Virginia Beer Festival. Grassy and earthy hop aromas.
Slightly cloudy golden orange with small white fine head. Grassy somewhat citrusy hops dominate flavor with moderate pale malt background to support. Medium body with a dry finish and touch of hop bitterness.

Jul 10, 2008 Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Pours a lightly hazy amber with golden/orange notes and a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of caramel, cardboard, light citrus notes and some hints of hops. The oxidation really kinds of overpowers the nice caramel malt/hops that are in there. Flavor of some toasted malt, caramel, earthy notes, hops, mixed citrus and light pine. Some cardboard and hints of butter, but not as apparent as in the aroma.

Apr 29, 2008 Bottle; poured a clear orange color with a big off white head. Really fantastic aroma; citrus, grapefruit and flowers. Reminded me a bit of southern california beers. Very hoppy for the style. Flavor was alot of citrus/orange/grapefruit. Fairly sweet, which I enjoyed. Could have had a better caramel base. However, this has to be one of the best examples of the style that I have had.

Jan 7, 2008 Clear, light amber in color. Nice off white head, fine bubbles. Very nice aroma, floral with a touch of citrus. Flavor is a little odd. Not so bitter but plenty hoppy. Also has an unpleasant vegatative property. Grassy aftertaste. Has a kinda "homebrew" flavor to it. I think I’ll finish it, but dissapointing.

Jan 3, 2008 Bomber from my pals Tina and Joyce - thanks! Got that clear ruby pour with crisp carbonation, off to a promising start. Very clean aroma with some tangerine and tropical notes. Taste is a bit different, sort of grassy with a slight hop burn and chewy malts. Refreshing and satisfying stuff.

Dec 30, 2007 Pours a clear copper-orange with a thick head. There’s a pleasing fruity hop aroma. The taste is clean with a citrus and floral hoppiness. Lingering pine after taste. This is a refreshing and pleasing APA.

Oct 12, 2007 This is an IPA. Pours orange with medium head. Smell of citrus and lots of hops. Taste of pine, citrus, and hops. Tingly hop finish. My second favorite Legend. Pretty freakin’ good.
